Let's say that movie release date will be October 14, 2011. This is the new release date for The Thing. When I read last week that the launch of the prequel, directed by John Carpenter in 1982, was postponed due to a shadow of uncertainty has swept over the project, especially as a new launch date has not been defined. Soon, however, to appease the souls, director Matthjis van Hejningen Jr. announced that postponement is due to the numerous special effects done in post-production and re filming scenes to improve the movie.
